Cleaning up our environment with a Green New Deal will do more than fight climate change.
It will fight poverty – with green jobs typically paying much more than a living wage. It will fight crime – with crime rates plummeting for people with stable and family-sustaining jobs. And it will fight diseases like cancer, diabetes, asthma and even COVID-19, which we know are made worse by wildfire smoke and air pollution.
